Review:
This book is very hilarious and interesting to read.  Darren’s a funny boy who constantly comments on his peers and himself. I found this novel to be complex as it revealed a young man’s awakening.  How he find the power of his own creativity.  He then learns how love and the meaning of sex, the idea of manhood. I personally think this novel is a little too much to absorb for tween or younger kids as it talks about drugs and sex.  The author did a great job in describe how the boys cope with the changes that they are going through in their age.
